Prezi

My prezi on the front cover and contents pages.

Me and Kirahn made a prezi about the front cover and contents page of a magazine we got given. We discussed the TAPE, which stands for Type, Audience, Purpose and Effectiveness as seen in the prezi. Also, we wrote about the Composition, Image, Graphics, Text and Theme for the front cover of music magazine, 'KERRANG'.

Contents

I designed my sixth form contents page with our student, Kirahn Blake, in the background. I used a dark background so that the text will outshine everything with it's bright colours. I took a risk by putting my 'CONTENTS' heading down the side of the page but I filled the top of the page with the words 'Sixth Form' as I felt like I couldn't go wrong with it like that. Besides 'Page 12' I put my main heading and not only is it in a different colour, but it's in capitals too, so therefore it is standing out from the other text.

The Nature Society Magazine

I learned from producing this 'The Nature Society' programme that I had to put a photo that includes all of the nature in the background. Also, I added text which stated what was inside the magazine, such as ''See new images of the Harlow ducks inside''. I put 'The Nature Society' in green so it's representing the trees in the nature world and it stands out as it's a brighter green than the trees. Also, the images were taken firsthand by my partner, Mae and I. So, at least the two images that are on the front cover aren't copied from the internet.

Final Drafts: Friday, 28th February 2014.
Evaluation and blogs: Friday, 28th March 2014.

The Brief

Preliminary exercise: Produce the front page of a new school/college magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close-up plus some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead. Additionally, candidates must produce a mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate their grasp of their program.

Main task: Produce the front page, contents and double page spread of a new music magazine.

All images and text used must be original, produced by the candidate, minimum of FOUR images per candidate.
